What does climate resilience look like when shaped by physicians, climate scientists, labor experts, and urban designers?

The “India 2047” conference, co-hosted by Harvard University’s Salata Institute of Climate and Sustainability and the Lakshmi Mittal South Asia Institute, sought to find out.

As extreme heat intensifies across Southeast Asia, the conferences aimed to translate expertise from various domains into actionable solutions for the region’s most pressing climate threats.

The three day event, taking place from March 19 to March 22, 2025, gathered scholars and practitioners from around the world to chart a path forward in the fight against the changing climate. Special focus was given to resilience strategies in South Asia, which has seen the most significant  will continue to grow and flourish even as the climate changes around us.
